HANDY DANDY IMAGING ACCESSORIES TO ADD TO YOUR BAG
Photo accessories, though less stylish than the latest designer collections, are probably just as important to photographers as they
are to fashionistas. We’ve pulled together a few products that we think make a good addition to any photographer’s gear bag.
BRON SUN SNIPER CAMERA STRAP
Adjusting a camera strap between shooting and carrying
positions with the camera at your side or back, can be a
hassle and a little uncomfortable. Sun Sniper pretty much
solves those problems with its sliding harness design.
The across-the-body strap, with its shock-absorbing
shoulder pad, transfers most of the camera weight to your
shoulder, a much more comfortable position than sup-
porting the camera with your neck. (Your back will thank
you, too). The camera, which is attached the camera’s
tripod mount via a screw-locked carabiner, easily slides
into shooting position and back again. There are a few
different versions of the Sun Sniper, including the basic
Sun Sniper One, a variation with a steel-reinforced strap
to guard against theft, a Pro Steel and Bear version with a
new stainless steel bearing for smoother “spinning” (ro-
tating the camera) and with a shorter distance between
camera and strap, reduces swinging of the camera and
lens. It doesn’t take long to realize that the Sun Sniper
is convenient and a good strain and pain reliever when
you’re shooting out in the field.

SANDISK EXTREME PRO SDXC UHS- 1 64GB CARD
SanDisk recently announced the latest member of its UHS- 1 family, a 64GB Extreme Pro
SDXC card, with double the performance and twice the capacity of it previous pro cards.
With the “the fastest write performance of any SD card in the world to date,” this new
card is designed using the most current SD 3.0 specification’s Ultra High Speed bus architecture with write speeds up to a whopping 90 megabytes per second. Read speeds
are even faster and can reach up to 95MB/sec, which means that the Extreme Pro SDXC
UHS- 1 card is capable of cutting card-to-computer transfer time in about half. Perfect
for shooting RAW, RAW+JPEG and full HD movies (even in 3D), the SanDisk Extreme
Pro SDXC UHS- 1 line is temperature, water, shock and x-ray proof. The Extreme Pro
SDXC/SDHC UHS- 1 cards are available in several capacities. Prices are higher than your
standard SD cards, but these UHS- 1 cards are fast and well worth the price, especially if
you’re shooting high speed burst or HD video.
