DEB HEAREY is the photo editor of travel and lifestyle magazine Tiny Atlas
Quarterly and a freelance photo editor, art buyer and creative producer based
in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her clients have included Hewlett-Packard,
Boeing and Ritz-Carlton, and she has been a photo editor at Dwell, Real Simple,
ReadyMade, and Us Weekly. She lives in Orinda, California, with her husband and
three young children.
LORI CUSICK is the design director of luxury lifestyle magazine;Private Clubs,;for which she is
responsible for maintaining the award-winning publication’s look and visual;appeal. Through
extensive research, she identifies top photographers around the world, and recruits the best
to enrich the magazine’s pages. A graduate of Pratt Institute, she has worked at ad agencies,
founded her own design studio, and got her start in publishing at Meredith Corporation. The
ex-New Yorker now resides in Dallas, and spends her weekends painting en plain air.
SCOTT HALL is the photo director at Travel + Leisure magazine; he was previously the
director of photography at Newsweek.;He moved from Massachusetts to New York City
to attend New York University, and worked in both book and magazine publishing after
graduation.;He’s been a photo editor at Abbeville Press, Departures magazine and T: The
New York Times Style Magazine.;;
TARA GUERTIN is the director of photography at AFAR magazine, and has been with the
magazine since its inception. Before joining AFAR in San Francisco, she worked as a photo editor
in New York City at publications such as BlackBook, Talk, Seventeen, InStyle and Lucky. Guertin
finds inspiration in her travels, which have taken her to some 35 countries. When she’s not
collaborating with photographers and researching new talent, she can often be found among the
redwoods, or roped to large pieces of granite throughout Northern California.
ROB SCHAPIRO joined Brunner Pittsburgh as chief creative o;cer after 14 years at the Martin
Agency in Richmond, Virginia. Schapiro has created highly e;ective campaigns for leading
brands such as ESPN’s Summer and WInter X Games, Hanes Apparel, Miller’s MGD brand, Saab
and the United Tennis Association. His work has been internationally recognized by British
Design & Art Direction, Cannes, Communication Arts, Graphis, the PDN Photo Annual, the
Webbies and more.
