Manmade forest ;res destroy the country’s rainforests and displace the
orangutans, and they are rescued and rehabilitated at two main sanctuaries:
the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) and the International
Animal Rescue (IAR), both in Indonesian Borneo.
A series about the Gibe III hydroelectric dam on the Omo River in Ethopia,
shot before the dam’s opening in 2016. Experts foresee strong environmental
and social-economic impacts in the Omo Valley region, which has a fragile and
diverse ecology and is inhabited by tribes who developed an agricultural system
with a delicate balance between their survival and the usage of natural resources.
