THE ADVERTISING PHOTOGRAPHY ISSUE
As brands and the agencies that represent them focus more energy—and money—on creating
social media content that reaches audiences on apps like Instagram, Tumblr and Vine, they’re
looking for photographers who understand the looser style of social media, have strong
creative voices and, for certain jobs, large social media followings. As a result, photographers
and their reps are altering their marketing strategies to take advantage of this growing market.

reps about how they are marketing their photographers for these assignments. BY CONOR RISCH
