of Wedding Photography
This summer we contacted photographers, editors, wedding planners, teachers and bloggers and asked them to nominate photographers
who, despite only a few years of experience or less shooting weddings, have already
demonstrated talent, promise and a distinctive style. After evaluating dozens of portfolios
(and a fair amount of debate), the staff at PDN and our colleague Jacqueline Tobin of
Rangefinder selected 20 photographers to profile. They have each taken different paths,
but their stories are full of information of what it takes to forge a distinctive photographic
voice, gain business acumen, and achieve recognition in the highly competitive field of
wedding photography today.
