Winners of the 2011 PDN Photo Annual
competition were honored at Tribeca Studios and
Tribeca Rooftop on May 14th in New York City.
At a special awards ceremony Jason Larkin accepted
the Arnold Newman Prize for New Directions in
Photographic Portraiture from Eugene Mopsik of
ASMP and Elizabeth Greenberg of the Farnsworth
Art Museum, Ben Lowy accepted the Marty Forscher
Fellowship for Professional Photographers from
Michelle Bogre and Adam Dean accepted the Sony
Emerging Photographer Award from Bob Tubbs of
Sony Electronics Digital Imaging Group. For the
second year in a row 100 guests received Fuji Instax
cameras and film, courtesy of our friends at Fuji.
The lucky recipients were invited to photograph the
event and some of their images are on this page.
Many guests also participated in the live Sony photo
shoot, and samples of their creative photos are on the
opposite page. Congratulations to all of the winners,
and a special thanks to our generous sponsors for
their support of this wonderful evening celebrating
the very best in contemporary photography.
